Three things worth settling first

Most people arrive with the same questions. Here are the honest answers, before the list.

  • How many days do I need?

    Two days gets you to the dunes and back, with a long drive on each. Three to four is the comfortable minimum for Merzouga plus the Dades and Todra gorges. Eight or more if you want the coast and the north as well.

  • When should I come?

    March to May and September to November work everywhere. July and August are fine in the mountains and on the coast, hard work in the desert. December nights in the Sahara fall below freezing.

  • What does it actually cost?

    Desert activities from Merzouga start at €10. Multi-day tours run €130 to €1,300 per guest, covering the vehicle, the driver and the nights listed.

  • Private or shared?

    Everything here is private by default — your vehicle, your pace, your start date. Any route can also run as a shared group departure, which lowers the price per person.

Questions we get every week

Can I change the route once I have booked?

Yes. Every private tour is a starting point rather than a fixed itinerary. Tell us what you want to add or drop and we will re-price it. Changes made more than 14 days before you travel cost nothing.

Is one night in the desert enough?

It is enough to see it. Two is enough to feel it. On a three day route from Marrakech you get one night at the dunes and roughly six hours of driving on each of the other two days.

Do the prices include flights?

No. Every price on this page is land only, per guest, and covers the vehicle, the fuel, the driver and the nights listed on the trip. Meals and entry fees are itemised on each page.

Who actually runs the tour?

We do. Our drivers and guides are employed by us and live in Merzouga and Marrakech. The person who meets you at the airport works for the same company that answers your email.
